Sisyphus is released from his punishment, and descends from the mountain, piercing through the veil of clouds and entering the prosperous town below. Trying to parse meaning from this seemingly foreign and absurd society, he encounters individuals through his day-long odyssey. Taking inspiration from Albert Camus’ “Myth of Sisyphus,” Surrender the Sun sheds a new light on the former king’s unfinished business.
